Job Title: Engineering Technician A-2nd Shift Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Code: 15335 Schedule: Second shift, weekday (schedule: 9/80; w/Friday coverage; 40 hrs)- 10% shift differential pay L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking an Engineering Technician A to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility. Position Overview: This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing test operations on a variety of LRU (Line Replaceable Units), circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and components. This role will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is responsible for successfully testing L3 products for delivery or repair. Essential Responsibilities:

Perform electronic testing, both manual and automated, in a production environment

Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation in a production environment

Assist Test Engineering on trends, root causes and corrective actions

Operates related test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)

Participate in process improvement activities in both test and manufacturing

Adherence to L3Harris policies and procedures, including but not limited to, calibration of equipment, ESD (electrostatic discharge), FOD (foreign object debris/damage) and general housekeeping.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimal knowledge of RF and digitals signals

Minimal exposure to basic Analog, Digital and RF circuitry

Comfortable using PC based applications

Minimal experience using test equipment (RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, voltage meters and oscilloscopes)

Must be able to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.

0-3 years of experience preferred in RF and digital signals.

0-3 years of experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
