Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting, that can hit the ground running. Managing a range of litigation cases, including pre-litigation, electronic discovery, motion practice, trial preparations and appeals
Conducting comprehensive legal research and drafting detailed legal documents, including pleadings, motions, judgments and briefs
Conducting depositions, hearings, and trials
Collaborating with Partners and clients to develop effective case strategies and legal counsel
Analyzing and interpreting complex legal issues
Engaging in settlement negotiations
Maintaining and organizing case files
Ensuring adherence to legal procedures and deadlines
Reporting to Partners and clients on case statuses
Staying up to date on legal practices
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to the Utah State Bar
3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm
Commercial, civil or business litigation experience highly desired
Experience in trial preparation
Experience managing electronic discovery
Experience preparing written briefs, motions and pleadings
Experience arguing cases in court
Experience taking depositions
Strong written and verbal communication
Strong analytical and research skills
High degree of professionalism
Ability to manage confidentiality and ethical standards
Ability to work both independently and with a team
