The manager of student services in the dean’s office of CSBS reports to the associate dean for student success and academic affairs and supports the associate dean in all of their activities, and works in self-directed and self-motivated manner under minimal supervision as an effective member of the student success team.Responsibilities
Manages college’s scholarships, including the application process, making and tracking awards, supporting selection committees, and maintaining accurate information about criteria and supporters.
Interfaces with Undergraduate studies as needed and organizes curriculum committee.
Serves as dean’s designee on student petitions, and supports managements of academic appeals, misconduct, etc.
Manages petitions for exception to policy and liaises with Registrar’s Office as appropriate.
Interfaces with UROP and manages applications and communication.
Plans and executes matters relating to student recruitment and outreach events, including coordinating with campus recruiting activities.
Coordinates college activities relating to New Student Orientation.
Maintains connection with the student success hub (as appropriate) and allied services.
Manages student surveys.
Collaborates effectively with program manager of internships, living learning communities, ambassador programs and all other relevant student initiatives.
Collaborates effectively on all student success projects.
Other duties as assigned.

Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required.
