We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated, team-oriented, problem-solving Manager to lead our Laundry Packaging lines on the Night Shift.The Night Manager will employ leadership skills, technical skills, and manufacturing experience to ensure increased associate productivity, maximize equipment functionality, and proactively manage the daily operational activities in the assigned area of responsibility/shift to meet or exceed departmental Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Goals. The individual selected for this role will be assigned to Night shift (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Alternating Sundays from 6:45PM to 7AM).RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support a safe workplace environment by identifying and helping resolve unsafe practices.

Ensure that personnel have proper qualifications, are trained, and motivated to work productively, both as part of a team and individually.

Ensure compliance with established standards in the areas of consumer product quality and employee safety.

Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

Ensure compliance with administrative and reporting procedures while complying with overtime and provisions of the handbook.

Establish a work plan and staffing levels to meet the ever-changing business climate.

Coordinate labor staffing daily in accordance with budgeted staffing.

Monitor progress toward task completion, coordinate departmental activities to maximize up-time and minimize down-time, assure rapid changeovers and communication status to Planning and Cell Manager.

Identify areas where cost, quality, and lead-times can be reduced to aid in machine utilization, lower scrap, labor efficiencies, etc.

Play an active role in Corrective Action Reports, Lean and Safety programs.

Document notification requests in SAP PM and follow-up and prioritize with maintenance and other shifts.

Input data into SAP, check QA documentation, and verify employee timecards.

Lead a team of up to 30 hourly employees, including leads.

Set-up and execute development plans for direct reports.

Manage all operations at factory level to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.

Delivers against plant performance KPIs, budgets, and projects.

Ensure operational processes and solutions are implemented according to global procedures and local regulations.

Analyze information and follow-up on exceptions and opportunities.

Foster a continuous improvement mindset, elevating innovative ideas (both your own and those of your employees), and executing plans to positively impact the plant operations and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing, or something similar.

Must have 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role with a manufacturing environment, with a high-level of knowledge of manufacturing system product flow and recordkeeping.

Must have experience in Production systems.

Must have a background in Continuous Improvement and Quality Management.

Must have a background in Cost reduction and manufacturing budgets.

Must have experience in Lean Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience in TPM methods is preferred.

Must have effective communication skills.

Must have leadership skills, with a special emphasis in coaching, decision making, organization, and reliability.

Must have a proven history in team building skills.

Must be able to lead change by creating high performance work teams.

Must have strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Dayforce.

SAP experience is a plus.

Consumer Product Goods experience is a plus.

Must have operational knowledge of automated processes and machinery.
