Overview
Myriad Oncology is looking for a sales professional who is passionate about improving the lives of patients with cancer or risk of cancer. As an Oncology Product Specialist, you will develop business, increase utilization, and set test protocols of our Cancer portfolio products within Oncology, Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Pathology, and Genetics through relationships with Academic facilities, large hospitals, IDNs, super-groups, and provider practices. The Product Specialist will play an active role in a consultative approach, project management and efficient implementation of processes within the accounts, while leading their assigned area on the initiative.
The Product Specialist also provides education on Myriad Oncology science, research, test results, and interpretation. Myriad Oncology tests can be used to guide personalized medical management decisions and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibility
Works closely with their assigned Area Manager to assist in the overall development and implementation of the strategy and coaching of team members to effectively drive the success of the entire Oncology portfolio.
Demonstrates mastery clinical knowledge of the Oncology portfolio product line and mastery selling ability to drive revenue with accounts by gaining commitment from thought leaders, MD decision makes, pathology, genetics, and C-suite.
Provides quality process recommendations and fit efficiently into oncology pathways for treatment decisions. Including but not limited to the LEAN methodology to drive consistent, executive, or administrative leadership with top-down support and staff pull-through of bottom-up changes, for reliable and dependable processes that support physician behavior and impact patient outcomes. (LEAN certification completion within 12 months of start date).
Builds relationships between different disciplines across the academic and community network of health care providers to optimize an integrated multidisciplinary approach to set pathways for testing to define the optimal treatment decisions.
Develops strategic relationships with societies and Key Opinion Leaders who are influential in creating change in your defined geography. Examples of strategic relationships may also include billing, legal, process efficiency, quality, practice management, clinical administrators that guide decisions in large health systems or multi-site physician practices.
Collaborates with Sales Associates and Sr. Manager, Sales to target, plan and drive test utilization within large healthcare practices, hospitals, or health system facilities at the clinical, financial and operations level, to achieve improved patient outcomes.
Maintain relationships and current market share in key accounts in assigned geography (approx. 3 -5 accounts per geography).
Qualifications
BS degree required; MBA preferred.
Six Sigma or Lean Healthcare Certifications (or achievement within 12 months of start date).
Previous experience as an Account Manager or similar.
