This position will also assist in the execution of experiments, analyses, and presentation of data for the Regenerative Medicine Program.Responsibilities1. Performs all essential functions of a Cell Therapy Technologist I.2. Designs and performs methods and procedures on new assignments.3. Provides input to determine methods and procedures of experimental design.4. Responsible for reproducibility and accuracy of data and analyses. Assists in the collation of data and report preparation.5. Provides training and guidance to junior personnel and trains others on techniques and methods as required.6. Monitors and orders supplies and reagents.7. May present at internal and external meetings.8. Manages project timelines, budgets, scope and labor.Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required:Nearly Continuously: Office environment.Seldom: Infectious disease, oils ( there is air or skin exposure to oils or other cutting fluids ).Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be requiredNearly Continuously: Hearing, listening, talking.Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking, standing, sitting.Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a biological science or equivalency. Four years experience in a laboratory, research, or related environment. Preferred Medical Technologist with ASCP or NCA certification, Master’s degree in a biological science or related field, and two years lab experience in bone marrow processing and stem cell collection with exposure to blood banking, hematology, cell culture and apheresis.This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.   • Job Title Microbiology Lead Lab Technician FLSA Non Exempt Position Summary This Microbiology Technician Lead is responsible for coordinating/managing/conducting microbiology and chemistry testing for all ICU Medical products and sterilization processes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage day to day laboratory functions of a team of microbiology technicians to support production demands and product release. Serve as deputy in various functions related to the Sterilization and Microbiology Lab Supervisor Identify and implement process improvements Ensures that lab documentation is complete and accurate. Ensures lab personnel adhere to cGMP\'s, SOP\'s and plant policies/guidelines. Proficient in a large number of tests such as BET, Bioburden, environmental monitoring, streak plating, heparin activity testing, HPLC, FT-IR and many others. Oversee and create several chemical solutions used in manufacturing Work with various departments to ensure testing are completed Work with vendors on testing needs for department Troubleshoots and resolves lab/testing problems Performs general laboratory and test supply maintenance Assist in development of new procedure and process for the lab Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications Computer proficiency and adaptability working with a variety of databases, Word, spreadsheet, etc. Ability to work in a team environment with shifting priorities and requirements Must be able to direct others and organize other’s schedule to ensure that lab activities are completed in a timely manner. Must be able to provide general guidance to other lab inspectors on a day-to-day basis. Must be self-directed and demonstrate good organizational and time management skills.
