Description:PART-TIME Specimen Processor role in Salt Lake City. Summary: The main function of a specimen processor is to perform specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.JOB DUTIES: Verify the information on the computer matches the sample Tell the system how many tubes, the temperature, and what kind of specimen – will use 10-key for this Process labels then move the specimen to process Follow instructions on the label Prepare specimens to be shipped Scan everything into a bag that will then be loaded into a machine to sort Help create a tracking record Receive 4000 specimens a day and process 90% of themSHIFT: 5:30 PM- 12 AM (20-32 hours/week)SCHEDULE: Monday - FridayAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent Previous medical or production experience is preferredProficient computer and typing skillsMust pass a standardized color vision testComfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samplesAbility to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of timeStrong eye-hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sightAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solveStrong communication skills; both written and verbal0-2 years of experienceExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
