Platform Services is a 24x7, three city model unified production management team supporting the critical Infrastructure of the firm using cutting-edge systems and processes that form the core of our key business. The team also adopts various tools developed by ETO Engineering team to automate failures using machine learning techniques, notify discrepancies in the health of production environment and automation of health-restoration, with a focus on continuous measurement of risk and cost. Analyst in Platform Services, the Technology Division’s “Run-The-Bank” production management organization. Generalist role in the production management function for technologies and systems provides alert management with the help of runbooks.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
6-7 years of experience in the job offered or a related Database Administration role
SPECIAL SKILLS AND/OR LICENSES REQUIRED PERFORMING THE JOB:
Must have 6-7 years of experience with:
Supporting the following platforms: Red Hat Enterprise Linux v3/4/5/6 and Sun Solaris 5.8/10
Database Platform: Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, Sybase Replication.
Extensive exposure to Sybase ASE 15.x, ASE 12.x database administration under Linux platform.
Strong experience in Sybase database administration, maintenance and implementation in a complex system environment
Strong Sybase Replication experience (Replication Server 15.x, 12.x) and knowledge on Distributed Database Management System
Strong Knowledge in Performance Tuning for Databases.
Strong knowledge in Database Maintenance.
Flexible to work in weekend shifts.
Good Interpersonal skills to interact with global Teams.
Knowledge in job scheduler – Autosys, cron jobs etc
Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus.
Strong team player, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Results oriented and highly flexible.
Strong working knowledge on DBA tasks, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Nice to have skills:
Knowledge of UDB DB2/Oracle/Microsoft SQL Servers.
Experience in Investment Banking sector will be a plus point.
Automation skills utilizing scripting languages, including ksh or bash and either python or perl.
