These communications systems range from small embedded devices to enterprise systems for airborne, ground, and/or nautical platforms.
The ISSE Analyst works with internal stakeholders (senior ISSEs, systems engineers, software engineers, and hardware engineers) as well as external stakeholders (customers, assessors, and authorization officials) to define, design, implement, verify, and obtain accreditation for both the systems themselves as well as any associated cryptographic products. The ISSE must not only be technically astute but also possess excellent communications skills in order to clearly communicate technical status and potential issues to internal and external customers.
