Mountain Water & Irrigation (MWI) is a commercial irrigation company that is seeking to hire a Senior Irrigation Tech and a Junior Irrigation Tech. As a commercial irrigation company we work on projects for state, county, and city entities. We work with universities and school districts. We also do work on higher end residential homes and estates. We work primarily in Summit, Wasatch, and Salt Lake counties, but also do projects in Utah and Davis counties. We are based out of Jeremy Ranch in the greater Park City area.
We do new system installations, renovations and retrofits, smart controller installations, water management and general maintenance and repairs.
We are seeking individuals who are experienced with all types of sprinkler and irrigation systems. Candidates must be able to speak English, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, use a shovel and other hand tools on a regular basis, keep detailed daily paperwork. Candidates must be able to work as part of, or lead, a crew. Candidates must be able to work directly with clients in a professional manner.
Candidates must have their own reliable transport to be able to begin each day at our Jeremy Ranch shop, from there company transportation is provided.
Candidates with experience in sprinkler system installation and maintenance will be given highest consideration. Experience with machinery operation (mini excavator, skidsteer, trencher) and hand tools is also going to be beneficial.
This is a seasonal position, there is an off season for irrigation. Our seasonal guys generally start mid-March and work through the first week of December. The right candidate could also be considered for a salary paid position.
Wages depend on experience.
Potential starting date for open positions is February 3.
