We are currently seeking a Shop and Yard Laborer/Driver to join our successful geotechnical construction team in West Jordan, UT. This position offers competitive wages, hands-on training, and opportunities for advancement within the largest geotechnical construction company in the US.
Qualifications:
Experience driving ¾-ton and 1-ton trucks with trailers
Clean and safe driving record (CDL preferred)
Forklift and skid steer operation (experience preferred)
Familiarity with 5S processes (a plus)
Two or more years of experience operating skid steers, forklifts, hydraulic excavators, and front-end loaders
Prior OSHA, First Aid, or Safety Training (preferred)
Experience in ground improvement, grouting, and/or earth retention (a plus)
Position Responsibilities:
Lubricate and clean equipment
Organize construction materials and supplies
Maintain a clean and safe yard and shop environment
Drive company vehicles to pick up tools, parts, and supplies
Safely operate hand and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders, mixers, pneumatic tampers, power washers)
Assist with loading and unloading trucks of equipment and supplies
Support rigging, hoisting, and spotting for equipment movement
Perform soil leveling or ground manipulation for equipment/material transport
Follow supervisor instructions and complete job-related duties
Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to OSHA regulations
General Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Provide two forms of valid identification
Self-motivated and willing to travel occasionally
Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication skills
Capable of performing physical labor, including frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50lbs
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Able to climb and maintain balance on uneven terrain
Drug-free and eligible to work in the U.S. (E-Verify required)
Reliable transportation to and from the shop
Compensation:
Pay Range: $20-$30/hour (based on experience)
Training and advancement opportunities available
Rare out-of-state travel may be required for deliveries – All travel expenses paid
