Owen Equipment, an Owen Company, is looking to hire an experienced Automotive Painter to join our growing team in Salt Lake City, UT. We are one of the largest Vactor and Elgin dealers in the United States and sell, service and rent sewer cleaners, vacuum excavators, street sweepers and related accessories. We are also a leading upfitter of service bodies and snow equipment and are an official dealer for such leading brands as IMT, Henke, Wausau-Everest, Swenson Spreader Co., and TBEI. We maintain five full-service locations in Portland, Oregon; Kent, Washington; Spokane, Washington; Fairfield, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah and our customer base consists of the largest municipalities and contractors in the Western U.S. Our equipment is critical to keeping our streets and sewer systems clean, clearing snow, locating buried infrastructure during construction projects, and helping to build and maintain our electrical grid.

Salary: $26.00 - $36.00 an hour depending on experience.

Job Description: As an Automotive Painter at Owen Equipment, you will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicles and equipment to the highest standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking and priming.
Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish.
Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
Inspect finished work for quality and make any necessary touch-ups.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an automotive painter or similar role.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in painting or a related field is a plus.
