Inspector Job Description: Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Services Consultants has an immediate career opportunity for an ICC Certified Reinforced Concrete, structural masonry, post tensioned reinforced concrete, high strength bolting, structural steel welding and pre-stressed concrete in Salt Lake City, UT. The successful candidate should be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standards related to the construction and inspection of the components listed. The candidate must be able to read and understand structural blue prints and current code requirements. Duties include maintenance of proper and complete files of field and laboratory data, reports, letters, RFI's, and other pertinent field data as well as clear communications with the Project Manager and the client's representatives are required.
Education: ICC certifications for Reinforced Concrete, Pre-stressed Concrete, Structural Steel and Bolting, structural masonry, post tensioned reinforced concrete Special Inspector or a combination thereof.
Required Skills: The successful candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have a minimum of two years of experience. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Field technician:
Job Description: Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants has immediate openings for a Soils and Materials Field Technician in Salt Lake City, Utah. Experience in construction inspection, soils and materials testing, and appropriate field certifications including WAQTC is a plus. The successful candidate will have knowledge regarding the standard test methods for field density testing of soil utility backfill, mass grading, paving subgrade, proof-rolling observation experience, asphalt production and density testing as well as field concrete sampling and testing.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have soils field testing experience and a current radiation user safety certificate. Experience with field testing of concrete with current ACI Field I certification, and asphalt experience would be ideal but not required.
