Inside Sales Manager

Primary ObjectiveServes our customers and plant operations by entering, maintaining and communicating internally and with the customer, details regarding customer purchase orders and order forecast. Identifies any discrepancies or contingencies with a purchase order that would prevent an order confirmation, assembles the resources and stakeholders necessary to resolve these issues, and ensures complete order success, maximizing the plant’s production efficiency and meeting/exceeding the customers’ expectation to deliver product on time and in full. Additionally, supports the business with pricing, contracts and quoting support.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receives all customer orders, acknowledges receipt of order to customer within 24 hours, and ultimately sends customer the shipment confirmation notice, and maintains customer contact on order status

Verifies received customer orders for accuracy and resolves any order discrepancies internally and/or with the customer. Engages with field-based sales personnel as necessary to ensure customer is aligned on expectations

Enters customer orders in the plant’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and works closely with scheduling and purchasing colleagues to ensure orders and jobs are entered in a timely manner; may provide backup support to scheduling and purchasing as needed during absences.

Maintains regular contact with each named account and has primary responsibility in asking for orders against agreed-upon forecast, capturing forecast updates, and communicates any changes in price and terms, to customer

Interacts regularly with a cross-functional team–including engineering, operations, quality, field-based sales, finance, site management, and global counterparts throughout the company, building and fostering a healthy working environment based on teamwork

Works closely with the aforementioned cross-functional team to ensure the forecast file is always up-to-date, capturing incoming orders and planned development revenue to ensure the Daily Sales Report and weekly forecast submissions compiled by the corporate finance group, reflects the total business available to the plant

Participates in annual budgeting process to request and compile forecast from legacy customers to establish monthly order expectations to form the basis for annual sales budget

Compiles all information necessary, to write and present a Statement of Work (SOW) and quote for sustaining engineering projects to existing named customers. Supports quoting new component quotes, keeps salesforce.com up-to-date in this regard and uses the Chatter platform regularly to communicate account and opportunity-specific information internally

Part of working team to transition to new a ERP system in 2022, including transfer of commercial data contained in current ERP system

Performs various tasks in support of marketing, including lead management, samples, trade show support, and collateral handling as required

Supports the rapid handling of orders transacted under a logistics, or “3PL” arrangement, and supports expedite requests as presented by the customer, when practicable

Represents the commercial/business development function in Quality Management System reviews, and keeps relevant order handling work instructions and documentation up-to-date

Performs other duties as required and upholds Spectrum Plastics Group’s vision and core values.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience

College degree preferred and a minimum of 3-5 years of customer service, account management or sales experience. (Manufacturing Experience Preferred).

Clear and concise communication skills via telephone, email and written correspondence.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of inside sales and account management

Ability to problem solve, identify errors and deficiencies, and perform research with general guidance

Ability to apply knowledge to their job function using pre-established guidelines and instructions

Accuracy, utmost attention to detail, thoroughness and commitment to excellence

Ability to work independently and with a minimum of direction, plan, and prioritize with efficiency

Proficient computer skills (MS Office, browser, Mac/Windows proficiency a strong plus)

Proficient in using Salesforce.com for order entry, quote management, reports and dashboards a strong plus

Ability to handle deadlines and expedited situations in an efficient and professional manner

Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Working ConditionsA self-starter working under remote/minimal supervision. Requires light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a managerial nature. Duties and Responsibilities Assists in establishing safety culture within the assigned operating business unit(s). Manages safety programs on all projects including Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) or other complex risk management projects. Provides regulatory and policy review and interpretation and technical advice. Recommends improvements to and provides technical review of ESH tools, processes, policies, and training. Continually reviews leading indicators from audit summaries, daily observations, and injury statistics to propose structured programs to continually lower risks associated with potential accidents and losses to assigned projects. Shares data with ESH Director to develop corporate safety trends. Provides monthly statistical information to the ESH Director for analysis and future safety program planning. Assists the ESH Director with monitoring new legislation that would affect correct safety policies and procedures and proposes necessary changes to policies and procedures. Monitors workers\' compensation issues on Layton projects and works closely with the ESH Director on these issues. Conducts incident review meetings with project managers, superintendent, and foremen, and involved employees to debrief and to train on future accident avoidance. Monitor and follows through on Layton safety issues at project sites. Oversees monthly audit program to document compliance to standards and safety program effectiveness. Implement training program through the company to achieve desired results of injury free environments and to achieve OSHA/MSHA compliance. Oversees company incentive program with ongoing input to enhance the program. Participates in pre-construction meetings for assigned business unit projects, highlighting project safety needs and issues. Ensures accident reporting is accurate and prompt with prevention measures implemented. Assists with injury management to ensure industrial medical care is provided with attention given to cost control. Assists project supervision and ESH Coordinators with safety disciplinary measures and enforcement when necessary. The ESH Manager is responsible for safety program development, implementation, and oversight in the assigned operating business units.   The ESH Manager is responsible for field implementation of the safety health and environmental policies and procedures on all assigned projects either directly or through the ESH Coordinator. Functionally supervises the safety behavior of all craft workers and employees in the assigned business unit.
