Policy Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Policy Specialist in the insurance industry, located in Sandy, Utah. As a Policy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional support to customers and internal teams, interpreting insurance policies, and maintaining up-to-date policy information. Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for complex policy inquiries from customers, providing clear and accurate information on policy terms, coverage, and conditions. Interpret and explain policy details in an accessible manner to support customers and resolve issues, ensuring a positive customer experience. Collaborate closely with customer service, underwriting, and claims departments to assist with customer inquiries and provide guidance on policy-specific questions. Investigate and resolve policy-related issues, working collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely, customer-centric solutions. Assist with implementing and communicating updates to policy terms and coverage options to customers and internal teams. Maintain accurate and organized records of customer interactions, policy updates, and any issue resolution for easy reference. Collect and report on customer feedback regarding policy clarity and service interactions to support continuous improvement efforts. Develop and deliver training materials for customer service teams to improve their understanding of policy details and communication. Utilize various computer programs and CRM to manage customer information and resolve inquiries. Answer inbound calls and assist customers with their policy concerns and inquiries. Requirements Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services is essential for this role. Familiarity with Avaya CMS is required. Must possess the ability to use various computer programs. Experience with CRM is a significant advantage. Knowledge of Epic Software is highly beneficial. Proficiency in About Time is necessary. Must be comfortable answering inbound calls. Ability to assist customers effectively and efficiently. Experience with benefit functions is required. Knowledge and experience with billing functions are vital.
