We are a smaller Civil Firm Specializing in Structrual Engineering. We are looking for someone who is smart, energetic, problem solving, self motivating, responsible, and who has as passion for structural engineering. The job description will be to provide structural calculations on the following project types: custom residential homes, single family multi-home developments, mulit-unit housing such as multi-story townhomes, commercial buildings such as single story masonry and wood framed buildings, metal building foundations, post tension slab foundations, retaining walls, solar panels ect. Structural calculations includes calculating wood, steel, concete and masonry beams and headers, wood, steel, and masonry columns, footings and retaining walls, and complete lateral analysis (wind and seismic) on buildings and other structures. Some CAD work will be required by the engineer on those projects as well. Some of the programs we use to do our calculations are Excel, Word, Strucalc, RetainPro, and EnerCalc to name a few. We use AutoCAD LT for our CAD program. All the engineers here are friendly and are all open to questions any time and are willing to train you and help you learn the field of structural engineering. We give profit sharing semi-annual bonuses that are based on your performance and have an IRA retirement plan where the company will match your contribution up to 3%.
