Description Robert Half is partnering with a St. George area food production facility their search for an experienced Plant Controller with a strong finance and manufacturing background. As a Plant Controller, you will be tasked with managing and overseeing the financial operations of the plant, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and implementing effective financial strategies.Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance accounting system records
Prepare annual budget, financial forecasts, and regulatory reports
Direct monthly general ledger closing process, including purchase price variance analysis, production variance analysis, cost savings, balance sheet reconciliations, and spending analysis
Provide financial analysis and business summaries
Identify and develop strategies for increased efficiencies and cost savings
Manage financial transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets
Lead personnel in monitoring and maintaining KPIs and provide performance management
Comply with all regulatory requirements
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance/accounting with 3-5 years in manufacturing, preferably in a plant controller position in the food industry
Leadership skills and prior supervisory experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
Ability to produce high-quality financial analysis, reports and forecasts
Proven experience working within budgets and initiating cost savings
Proficient at encouraging positive team dynamics
Strong communication, decision-making and interpersonal skills
