Hurricane company looking for a machine operator with a strong mechanical background. Hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with some overtime opportunities. Please read entire posting and if interested, send resume to the email link provided.
Qualified candidate will operate machinery, as well as troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
This position has a 90 day probationary period during which your attendance and work ethic will be closely observed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Run, maintain and troubleshoot high speed manufacturing equipment. Candidate would need flexibility to move between complex mechanical and simple/repetitive tasks, depending on company needs/workload.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues on all plant equipment
Perform preventative maintenance tasks
Performs precision maintenance tasks
Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines
Maintains safe and clean working environment at all times
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Mechanical Skills (including but not limited to):
Experience running, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed manufacturing equipment. Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work safely. Maintain a safe work environment; communicate issues and take corrective actions when safety issues arise.
Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
Ability to overhaul, dismantle, and reassemble equipment
Maintain logs and update equipment and performance records
Ability to make continuous process improvements
Self-motivated, open-minded, intuitive team player.
Experience with computerized mechanical maintenance systems
Additional experience will come with greater pay.
Welding experience a plus. Experience working on pneumatic systems, conveyors, gearboxes a plus. Proficient with operating equipment, installation and troubleshooting a plus. Ability to lead and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and equipment drawings and manuals a plus. Experience with computer software such as MS Office and Excel a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be 18 years or older.
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum of two years of technical training and/or five-plus years of proven related maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of both education and experience preferred.
