Automation Project Manager based in UtahThe Automation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of automation projects, with a primary focus on the Electrical, Industrial IT, and Automation (EIA) phase. This includes planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope, and aligned with organizational standards. The role serves as the central point of accountability for project scheduling, staffing, and stakeholder communication throughout the EIA process.Position FunctionsCoordination with other departments and division to establish an offer by estimating EIA part and proposing an architectureTake note of user requirement specificationDefend the offer to the customer with the team designated to establish the offerDefine a schedule with different milestones and weekly monitoringManage budgets and control the changesDefine internal and external resource requirementsDevelop a specification of EIA materialDefine the design with process team and validate the functional description and write functional analysisEstablish a regular client contact and document each meetingSupervise contractors and advancement of manufacturing (supplier and customer site)Coordinate and ensure the commissioning of facilitiesWhen large-scale projects, manage a functional team to perform the following phases or in smaller projects, perform the following phases:Establish a requirement specification for electrical consulting (cabinet manufacturing and wiring on site)Develop I/O List from Equipment List and P&IDDevelop Automation program and/or HMI program from internal development specifications or those of the clientUpdate as-built electrical drawingsMake internal tests / FAT / SAT / Commissioning documenting their respective protocolsMake internals tests, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and Commissioning, document their respective protocolsWrite Operator Manual of installation and provide user training as well as the technical file of the equipmentRequirements: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer.Experience: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience Or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.Automation KnowledgeProgrammable Logic controllers:Rockwell Studio 5000Schneider UnityModiconSiemens TIA PortalHuman Machine Interface:Rockwell Factory Talk SE and MEWonder ware InTouch and WSPGE iFIXSiemens WinCCCommunication protocols:AS-iEthernet IPProfinetProfibusCANopen
