We are looking for several caring and enthusiastic individuals to support a 24-year-old female with autism in her daily activities. This role involves assisting with employment, community outings, camps, and therapy appointments. If you have a passion for making a difference, this is the job for you!
Position Details:
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 11:30am; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 3:30pm to 6:00pm; Saturdays, 10:00am to 3:30pm; Sundays, 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Compensation: $25 to $30 per hour, with mileage reimbursement. Flexible shifts available.
Responsibilities:
Support in daily living skills.
Facilitate and initiate activities, both at home and in the community, tailored to the individual’s needs and interests.
Assist in creating structured routines and activities, which may include developing content or materials that support learning and engagement.
Participate in therapeutic programs and employment related tasks.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. We also welcome candidates who are currently pursuing a degree in special education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral therapy is strongly preferred.
Skills and Qualities:
Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach when working with individuals with diverse needs.
Strong communication skills to engage with the individual and collaborate with the family and therapy teams.
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to the individual’s evolving needs and availability for flexible weekday and weekend shifts.
Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to assist with community activities, employment sites, and therapy appointments.
