Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Burlington, Massachusetts. This role calls for an individual with a strong background in the financial industry, capable of fulfilling both remote and on-site work requirements. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be entrusted with key tasks such as analyzing financial data, maintaining general ledger, and managing fixed assets.Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret complex financial data to assist in decision-making processes. Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis, ensuring all entries are accurate. Manage fixed assets, including their acquisition, depreciation, and disposal. Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries to ensure financial records are accurate. Oversee the monthly end close process and ensure timely completion. Review and reconcile bank statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Utilize Microsoft Excel to create financial reports and forecasts. Work with software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage and analyze financial data. Use Sage Intacct for accounting purposes, if familiar with the platform. Perform other duties as required, such as data analysis, to support the finance team. Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience as a senior accountant Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Demonstrable experience with account reconciliation and journal entries Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Experience with month-end close procedures Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data Strong organizational and time management skills Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
