PAY RANGE: (Min-Mid)

Permitting and Compliance Analyst I: $57,100 - $71,400

Permit and Compliance Analyst II: $69,900 - $87,400

Sr Permit and Compliance Analyst: $79,100 – $105,400

Lead Permit and Compliance Analyst: $93,100 - $124,100Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Job may require additional hours with short notice. Over time the job can transition to 3 days work from home. Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for ensuring all permits required for the routing, construction and maintenance of transmission lines are obtained and maintained. This position will also work on permitting for new and expanding substations. This position will work closely with all project stakeholders. The successful candidate will develop and maintain strong working relationships with federal, state, and local agencies on behalf of Evergy. This position will receive general guidance and supervision from the Manager of Permitting and Civil Engineering. The candidate will develop Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and provide oversight of the SWPPP process, providing expertise, support, training, and special compliance inspections during construction. Renewing, monitoring, and closing out SWPPPs will be required. In addition, this position will be responsible for other permits such as:

KCC- RESA, EL

FAA and local airspace

KDOT, MoDOT and KTA

Railroad

County and City- floodplain fill, culverts, special use, etc.

CoE- levee impact

KDHE/MDNR- contaminated soil or water

Missouri and Kansas historical and cultural resources

KDA-DWR- Clean Water Act, stream obstruction

Public Lands/Conservation Areas- (KDWPT, MDC, USFWS, etc.)

Conditional and Special Use Permits

Substation land purchase and expansion permitting

Education and Experience Requirements:

Experience in Right of Way permitting, environmental protection regulations, and assessing, mitigating, and avoiding environmental impact is necessary. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of applicable experience. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

The candidate must possess:

Skill in oral and written communications, problem solving, negotiation and thorough use of tact, logic, creativity, assertiveness, sensitivity, and effective listening.

Ability to handle multiple priorities, analyze and make decisions, and process information in an organized, timely and accurate manner.

Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing technologies and environments.

Proficient computer skills for various software packages including basic office applications and databases.

Ability to develop and foster relationships with Federal, State and Local agencies.
