Onion City is a a fast-paced, locally-owned restaurant from the Misery Loves Co. Family. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality food and excellent hospitality to our guests. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our supportive kitchen team, anchoring dinner service 4-5 nights a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.

Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.

Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely manner.

Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.

Assist with inventory management and report any shortages or issues.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to improve food quality and efficiency.

Adhere to portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

Familiarity with industry best practices and kitchen sanitation standards.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, days, weekends, and holidays.
