Sweet Lucy’s Bakeshop (located in Western Massachusetts, in the town of Bernardston- just 15 min from downtown Brattleboro) is looking for a passionate and skilled Pastry Assistant to join our team! We specialize in beautifully crafted baked goods and are seeking someone who loves both baking and decorating. If you have a keen eye for detail, a love for delicious treats, a strong work ethic, and a love for small but growing businesses, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pastries, and pies
Decorate cakes, and pastries with precision, according to Sweet Lucy’s Bakeshops specs
Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, morning hours. Must be able to work overtime during holidays.
Qualifications:
Two (2) years minimum professional kitchen experience a MUST
Proficiency in both baking and decoration techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
