Stowe Street Cafe is growing, and we're currently seeking a Sous Chef to join our team to assist our Head Chef with our weekday/weekend menu service, catering, and prep.
Sous Chef responsibilities include but are not limited to creating exceptional culinary experiences for our guests, overseeing & participating in the daily kitchen operations (opening/closing procedures, receiving, food prep, cooking),training kitchen staff following company policies & procedures, upholding standards for food preparation and plating, food safety and sanitation, and workplace safety, controlling operational costs, taking inventories, and ordering food and supplies.
Previous hospitality experience is strongly preferred, but if you've got the right attitude and initial skill set, let's talk! The ideal candidate will be one who thrives in a fast-paced, open kitchen environment, has excellent communication skills, pays attention to detail, and is committed to the high-level of excellent customer service Stowe Street Cafe is known for.
Qualified candidates must be motivated, friendly, team-oriented, honest, and comfortable with managing people. Must be available to work consistently, act in a professional manner & have a positive attitude.
- Shifts are 6:00 am - 3:00 pm. Your evenings are all your own
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday availability is required
- Applicants must be able to work between 27 - 36 hours per week
- $24-$26/hour average pay based including tips
