University of Vermont Medical Center, Vermonts academic medical center and founding member of the University of Vermont Health Network, seeks a Clinical Patient Safety Attendant.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Patient Safety Attendant (CPSA) is responsible for specific aspects of direct patient care and monitoring focused of safety, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The CPSA commits to providing and maintaining a safe and caring environment for our patients, their families, and our colleagues while promoting physical, emotional, psychological and cognitive wellbeing. The CPSA fulfills this purpose by:
- Upholding a professional and compassionate demeanor
- Providing individualized, evidence-based, therapeutic interventions to address specific safety needs
- Being an active member of and contributor to the interdisciplinary team
- Utilizing safe, timely, effective, equitable, efficient and patient-centered communication
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of AS degree in health care, mental health or human services related field preferred.
Experience:
Previous health care experience preferred. Pro-ACT crisis intervention training preferred.
