Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Nights

Position Type: Full-time; Saturday 10:30 PM - 9:30 AM, Sunday 10:30 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday 10:30PM - 7:30 AM. The listed hours come to 29 hours but the position will pay for 40 hours weekly as an incentive/bonus.

Salary Range: $42.00 - $60.00 per hour

Client Overview:

Our client, an individual with a spinal cord injury, is seeking a compassionate and professional RN or LPN to provide essential nighttime care. Based in a fully secured condominium in downtown Burlington, VT, this role offers a supportive and welcoming environment. Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct care to an adult male quadriplegic throughout the night shift. Ideal candidates will be upbeat, communicative, and have experience in either hospital, long-term care, or home care settings, particularly with third/overnight shifts. The client has a well-structured team in place, ensuring that support staff work cooperatively and can rely on one another in case of scheduling conflicts.

Responsibilities:

Ventilator monitoring and maintenance during night shifts

Trach care and respiratory suctioning

Assistance with urinary and bowel management

Bathing, skin care, massage, and range of motion (ROM) exercises

Medication administration and vital signs monitoring as needed

Support with daily living activities

Light cleaning duties, including laundry, wiping down surfaces, changing trash and recycling, sweeping floors, and ironing

Pet care as required

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification (required)

Minimum 2 years experience working in hospital, long-term care, or home care settings, particularly on night shifts

Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination (required)

Valid driver’s license (required)

Ability to travel within and outside the U.S. for up to 5 weeks per year (non-consecutive)

Work Environment:

This role is based in a secure and modern condominium in downtown Burlington with on-site parking and access to the scenic waterfront. The support team has a private study available, equipped with a smart TV, Internet, and kitchen access for use during shifts. While there is ample opportunity for interaction, staff members also have designated areas for personal comfort.
