Carter's Cars is seeking a qualified Automotive Service Technician to join our team. Carter's is a fun and fast-paced work environment.
The candidate must have tools and a driver's license. The ideal candidate will already have their VT Inspection license. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. You will run diagnostic tests and perform basic repairs and routine maintenance on cars and small trucks (i.e., checking fluid levels, rotating tires, changing oil and other fluids, and replacing batteries and belts). You must also be familiar with steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems. We prefer candidates with extensive automotive repair experience, mechanical skills, and ASE certification. Carter's will consider the right applicant based on experience and skill level. Pay based on experience. Come and join our team!
Automotive Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities
Run diagnostic tests
Test functionality of parts
Provide labor and time estimates
Perform basic repairs
Complete routine maintenance, including oil changes and automatic transmission fluid exchanges
Replace or charge car batteries
Mount and rotate tires
Document service repairs
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Automotive Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate
1+ years of automotive repair experience
ASE certification preferred
Valid driver's license
Mechanical skills
Customer service skills
