We’re looking for a part-time farmer to join our 100+-acre regenerative homestead in South Woodstock, VT. This role includes on-site housing as part of a work-trade arrangement, along with a monthly retainer. For those interested, there’s also the opportunity to collaborate on farm enterprises or access land for personal agricultural projects.
About the Farm
Our farm includes heritage cattle, poultry, a trout pond, fruit and nut orchards, perennial gardens, 10+ acres of pasture, and 90+ acres of hardwood forest and sugarbush. We follow regenerative, sustainable, and permaculture-based farming practices and are looking for someone who shares our values in land stewardship and self-sufficiency.
The Role (Housing + Monthly Retainer)
Animal care – Rotational grazing for cattle, poultry care
Gardening & orchard care – Perennial and annual food production
Tractor & equipment work – Mowing and basic maintenance
Farm & property upkeep – Firewood processing, repairs, trail maintenance, and seasonal projects
Optional Collaboration & Land Access
For those looking to develop their own farm business, we are open to discussing:
Land-sharing or lease opportunities for small-scale farm enterprises (livestock, produce, herbs, agroforestry, etc.)
Partnerships in value-added production (ferments, herbal products, forest-based enterprises)
Collaborative farm ventures that align with regenerative and sustainable agriculture
Ideal Candidate
Experience with cattle, tractors, and farm equipment is a plus
Passionate about sustainable agriculture, homesteading, and land stewardship
Self-motivated, independent, and open to collaboration
