Lake Dunmore Public Access Greeter

LDFLA is seeking a friendly, responsible, and environmentally-conscious individual to serve as a Public Access Greeter. The primary role of the greeter is to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species by inspecting watercraft and educating boaters about best practices for protecting Vermont’s lakes.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and interact with boaters in a courteous and professional manner.

Conduct visual inspections of boats, trailers, and equipment for aquatic invasive species.

Inform boaters about aquatic invasive species.

Maintain accurate records of inspections and interactions using provided forms or apps.

Report any suspected invasive species findings to appropriate personnel.

Set up and take down signs, materials, or information displays at the launch site.

Ensure a welcoming and informative presence at the public boat access point.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Interest in environmental protection and lake health.

Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.

Reliable transportation to and from Lake Dunmore.

Training provided. No prior experience necessary—just a passion for nature and public service!

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
