The H-Team is seeking a shop helper to carry out cleaning, recycling, stocking supplies, and light maintenance duties for all service shops and buildings. This position is part-time with the potential to become full time and flexible scheduling!
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain housekeeping inside and out of the shop
Maintain clean floors and shared work areas.
Remove tires, parts, metal, trash and recycling from shops.
Organization of shared shop equipment.
Recycling pick up of entire campus.
Stocking Janitors supply closets.
Filling oil tanks for waste oil furnaces. (Winter)
Assist with plowing and shoveling snow. (Winter)
Minor maintenance repairs. (change light bulbs, move furniture, etc.)
Supplement grounds crew and cleaners where needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Shop Helper Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of machinery.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
Integrity and ability to work independently.
Proven work experience in a maintenance setting is a plus.
