designs. LZD is a thriving, growing wholesale and retail business whose work is
featured in stores and galleries nationally. The studio is located in a renovated industrial space located in Brattleboro, Vermont.
Job Description
This is a full time position working in all aspects of our production processes to
produce handmade ceramic tableware. Studio assistant will train for skills for all of our manufacturing methods and work as part of a team of motivated makers.
Duties
Trim and prep green ware, low fire glazing, slip cast, ram press, load and fire kilns, reclaim and pug clay, prepare glaze and clay materials, decal decoration, studio cleaning and maintenance.
Required Skills
Ceramics degree or equivalent experience
A working knowledge of the ceramics process and how to handle clay
Attention to detail, time management, ability to take direction and work with a team.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
