Machine Operator - Day and Night Shifts Available

Position Type: Full-Time (Two Shift Options per Day and Night)

Reports To: Production Team Leader

Starting Pay: $24.25/hour for day shifts; $28.00/hour for night shifts (includes shift differential)

Choose between day shift or night shift schedules that best align with your lifestyle.

Day Shifts: Starting Pay: $24.25/hour

1A Shift: Sunday–Tuesday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; Wednesday, 7:00 AM–1:00 PM

2A Shift: Wednesday, 1:00 PM–7:00 PM; Thursday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

Night Shifts: Starting Pay: $28.00/hour

1B Shift: Sunday–Tuesday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; alternating Saturdays

2B Shift: Wednesday–Friday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; alternating Saturdays

Role Overview

As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth, efficient production processes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the team and the satisfaction of AstenJohnson’s customers.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to produce monofilament fibers to specifications.

Perform equipment setup, adjustments, and changeovers to meet production goals.

Ensure proper filament winding on spools, maintaining consistent tension and quality.

Package finished products and prepare materials for the next production cycle.

Maintain accurate production logs and complete machine-related documentation.

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.

Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred; familiarity with Lean Sigma concepts is a plus.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math proficiency, and ability to follow instructions.

Dependability: Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 55 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for up to 12 hours in an industrial environment.
