Charter House Coalition, Middlebury’s homeless shelter, is looking to build our team of highly effective Operations Staff. Shelter staff are responsible for the 24/7 operations and help support the entire Addison County community.

The position is primarily responsible for covering our staff desk, being available to guests as needed, all while maintaining routine, harmony and an organized environment within the house. Ideal candidates will have the ability to welcome all community members without judgement; and will bring attention to detail and strong communication skills to their work. The ability to support guests within a trauma-informed and safe environment is necessary; training will be provided. The position is suited to individuals that can benefit from a flexible work schedule. Shifts available include 4-, 6- and 8-hour options during day and evening hours. We are also hiring for 3 overnight shifts, Tues, Wed and Thurs 9pm to 7am. Starting pay is $20/hr, more depending on experience includes benefits.
