Navigator - Developmental Services
Greet and guide guests (clients, patients, visitors, etc.) as they navigate through Howard Center.
This position promotes a trauma-informed environment for an exceptional guest experience. This position works with guests to provide support, co-regulation, crisis response, and de-escalation as needed, working to increase collaboration with staff and reduce stress associated with the visit.
Responsibilities:
Support guests within the program, assist with guest experience and program navigation
Provide basic relational mental health support, co-regulation, crisis response and de-escalation
Assist in building the safety and security plan for the site and creating and maintaining a culture of safety and security
Act as a consistent presence to community surroundings in order to minimize risk and disruption, and guarantee compliance to basic safety protocols
Support staff in maintaining a recovery-friendly environment outside through disposal of substances, assistance with large-scale deliveries, and the directing of emergency responders or community members to the relevant place
Complete incident reports, documentation in electronic health records, monitor and track safety and security related concerns
Requirements:
Two years of experience in one or more of the following fields: mental health, criminal justice, human services, victim advocacy or a related field
Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle

Starting at $21.40 an hour
