We're Commodities, a small, family-owned natural foods market in Winooski. We're in need of someone to help round out our staff; if you think you fit the bill for what we need, we'd love to hear from you!
We're looking for friendly folks with good social skills who have real passion for the food they eat, an innate ability to multitask, and a hardworking attitude. Each member of our small staff contributes greatly to the whole and becomes an integral member of the team, so it's really important that you're willing to get your hands dirty doing everything from running a cash register to stocking and prepping our produce department. We get that nobody here is a game show host, but it's generally expected that you come to work with a fabulous attitude and impeccable customer manner. This is not a sedentary job- we blitz around the store like hummingbirds and often lift up to fifty pounds at a time so be ready for active employment!
There are some serious perks- piles of free food, a generous staff discount, a consistent schedule with consecutive days off, competitive wages, and more. You need to bring a high school education, a basic knowledge and interest in natural/organic foods, and a solid work history to the table to be considered for a position. Oh, and FYI ... if you apply and send a resume without a cover letter (or at least an introductory note), you won't be considered.
