Essex Equipment, a locally owned equipment rental and sales center, has an immediate job opportunity to work at our front rental counter as a Rental Counter Sales Associate. This position has extensive face-to-face and telephone customer interaction. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Creating reservations, rental contracts and sales invoices.
-Answer incoming phone calls and emails.
-Resolve and /or facilitate customer requests.
-Greet Customers and handle customer complaints.
-Know and demonstrate operation and safety features of rental and sales equipment.
-Arrange, clean and restock showroom and exterior sales and rental equipment displays.
-Assemble new rental/sales equipment.
-Purge, order, receive and stock product literature.
-Will be required to work some Saturdays on a rotation basis
-Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
All employees are required to assist with:
-Cleaning/Housekeeping Daily and Seasonal (Both immediate work area and throughout the facilities and yards)
-Building Maintenance and Improvements
-Grounds Maintenance
-Assisting other Departments/Managers when needed
-Cover absences and vacations of other employees
-Follow safety policies and promote safety for themselves and others
The ideal candidate would have customer service/sales background, have technical aptitude with the ability to learn specifications and operation of the rental equipment, be computer proficient, have exceptional follow up skills and attention to detail. Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment. A background in skilled trades would be a benefit.
