I am looking for either a well rounded carpenter with a few years experience, or an apprentice / carpenter's helper that is ambitious to work and willing to learn the trade. I can train someone with little to no experience if you are ready to focus throughout the day and work hard.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license is required as well as your own tool belt. Arriving to work on time and being able to work without being on your phone throughout the entire day is a must. I'm looking for a hard working, ambitious, and easy-going person that can communicate, listen, and stay organized.
Job sites typically cover all of Chittenden County and occasionally east to Waterbury. This is a full time position with daily work hours starting between 7:00 and 7:30 and ending between 3:30 and 4:00. Overtime is occasionally available depending on the job and time of year. This position is for a legally hired employee, covered by worker's compensation insurance and fully on-the-books. Do not ask to get paid cash. Along with an hourly rate that will be discussed, you will receive generous paid time off.
This is a small outfit in it's 5th year of business. We have had at least 40 hours of work almost every week since starting out. We push for new residential construction but often do some higher-end remodeling that can require heavy demo work. Framing, decks, exterior trim and siding, interior higher-end finish work, and even some woodworking can all be expected.
