Alliance Group is looking for a Field Service Manager to join their growing organization and play a key role on their mechanical services team within the Rutland, VT region.
This role will be responsible for supporting service operations and technicians in the field and will report directly to the VP of Operations (Rutland office). The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, have a can-do attitude and value the importance of great customer service.

JOB DUTIES:
SUPPORT TO OPERATIONS
Responsible for technician training, licensing, and licenses renewals.
Work with dispatcher and VP Operations to set weekly manpower.
Hold monthly meetings with technicians to review topics as needed.
Work with VP Operations to hire technicians and forecast manpower as well as to provide annual reviews.
Assist Project Manager with repair quotes.
SUPPORT TO FIELD:
Provide field support which includes technical assistance via phone or hands on field work when needed.
Assist Technicians with part requests
Monitor condition and usage of company property which includes maintaining fleet and department tools and scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
Consistently communicate with employees regarding progress, attitude, and behavior
10-20% travel primarily local, and during the business day. Occasionally necessary beyond local with additional offices located in Essex, VT, West Lebanon & Bow, NH.
Company Vehicle provided, and valid driver’s license required
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years’ experience in mechanical trades and installation knowledge of ductwork, plumbing, heating systems, A/C, and refrigeration.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
EPA certification is preferred. Additional certifications such as CTEP, Natural Gas, S-Electrical and oil.
Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems.
Strong leadership, communication, sales, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and job management-based software skills.
Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
Highly responsible & reliable and able to manage confidential information.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and courage to work autonomously and under minimal direction to complete tasks with haste and accuracy.
