FURNITURE MAKER WANTED
ShackletonThomas is a long established (1987) and renowned furniture and pottery making company in Bridgewater, Vermont, specializing in hand skill techniques. We believe in sharing information and learning from each other and the outside world as much as possible. Employees are included in the running of the business to impart the most important skills of learning how to run their own business.
We are looking for a Furniture Maker to join our furniture making team of six. We focus on handwork, with each maker making each individual piece from start to finish. Designs are based on originals designed by Charles, and pieces are signed by each maker. We are located in a beautiful post and beam workshop housed in an old mill filled with natural light. The company is based in Bridgewater, Vermont, an area with a rich tradition of craft and creativity. We will train the right person. Sense of humor and team player preferred.
Pay dependent on experience. Successful applicants will have full use of workshops in out-of-workshop hours and weekends. We have full upholstery and woodturning shops, as well as a large CNC machine.
