Working under the project lead, you will resolve bugs, build enhancements, and refactor legacy code. Responsibilities:

- Identify and resolve bugs

- Build enhancements

- Develop solutions using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript

- Contribute to team success and client satisfaction

Requirements:

- Experience with at least one server-side language. (We use PHP, but were more interested in your understanding of server-side concepts and general programming skills than knowledge of a specific language.)

- Experience with MySQL or similar RDMS

- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3

- Basic understanding of the command line

- Knowledge of source control systems including Git

- An ability to learn quickly and immediately put that knowledge to use

Good to Have:

- Experience building JavaScript-driven UI features using jQuery or React

- Experience integrating with third-party APIs

- Comfort in a client-facing role

Traits We Look for in an Engineer:

- A focus on best practices (coding techniques, security, performance)

- A keen eye for detail and a sense of what makes a website great

- Good organizational skills and ability to move between tasks easily

- Ability to look at the larger picture and think proactively

- Good communication skills

- Willingness to learn and grow

- Not afraid to ask questions

Were Offering:

- Competitive salary

- Flexible schedule

- Plenty of paid vacation and personal time

- Full health benefits

- Employee retirement plan

- Generous profit-sharing program

Our Culture:

Our developers love that they get to stretch out across a variety of projects, that we're committed to high-quality coding methods and tools, and that we enjoy positive, collaborative relationships with our clients. As a company we value work-life balance, continuous learning, and social responsibility. Above all, we recognize that trust and integrity are the foundation of successful relationships between our colleagues as well as between Bluehouse Group and our clients.
