NOTICE OF OPEN POSITION Access Hub Clinician December 2024 For more than 50 years, Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS) has served the Washington County community and the Orange County towns of Orange, Washington, and Williamstown. WCMHS provides education, support, and treatment of individuals and families living with mental health challenges, substance use issues, and developmental and intellectual disabilities. Washington County Mental Health Services is “Where Hope and Support Come Together.” POSITION: WCMHS is seeking an Access Hub Clinician to advance our mission by providing immediate follow-up and assessment to adults in crisis who are diverted from or at the CVMC emergency department. The role includes crisis intervention in collaboration with WCMHS programs and other Washington County agencies, as well as clinical assessments, brief psychotherapy, and solution-focused interventions for a small caseload. Responsibilities also include service coordination, referrals to long-term providers, and consultation with treatment providers, family members, and WCMHS staff. The work is rooted in the Living Room model of treatment and takes place primarily at the Access Hub workspace, in clients’ homes, or within the community, with some office or virtual appointments. Collaboration is essential with Emergency Screeners, Access Hub team, WCMHS adult programs, community providers, police, and CVMC psychiatric services. Maintaining accurate case records is also a key component of the role. This position requires the ability and willingness to work varied schedules, with shift start times starting at 7 am and ending as late as 7 pm. Access Hub Clinicians must also have regular and consistent attendance at work, according to scheduled hours. QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to a commitment to the WCMHS mission, the Access Hub Clinician must have the following:
Master’s Degree, and rostered or licensed (or able to be rostered or licensed).
Experience providing therapeutic services and crisis intervention.
Experience working with adults in home/field-based settings (preferred).
Access to a safe vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
Additional requirements for this position include:
Ability and willingness to work varied schedules with days starting a 7am and others until 7pm, with consistent and reliable attendance.
Excellent clinical and case management skills.
Clinical interviewing and assessment skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work productively as a member with WCMHS teams, with community partners, and independently.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, and ability to timely and accurately complete all paperwork.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This full-time position offers an annualized salary of $53,497.60 and excellent benefits, including tuition reimbursement/student loan assistance; generous paid time off; employer-sponsored health, dental, life, and disability insurances; and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.
