About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Data Content and Strategy. This critical role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing data and content acquisitions that support the business unit's strategic direction, revenue growth, and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel in sourcing and negotiating contracts for data acquisition, working independently, and demonstrating a solid executive presence. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional negotiation skills, and building and maintaining relationships with data providers and key internal and external stakeholders.You will be responsible for:
Lead Data and Content Acquisition Strategy:
Collaborating with internal teams to lead data and service acquisition strategy considering cost, value, geographic coverage, and new insights.
Evaluating content acquisition and licensor opportunities for strategic fit, financial soundness, and execution capability.
Acquiring core and alternative data sets that enhance the organization's product portfolio.
Re-negotiating sub-optimal agreements to reflect actual content value, minimizing disruption while maximizing data monetization.
Managing a significant COGS budget, including new and existing content spending and reports.
Manage Data Agreement Lifecycle:
Developing and optimizing content lifecycle management processes.
Ensuring favorable terms for the organization during negotiations.
Leveraging strategic relationships to maximize data value and maintain a proper balance of trade with suppliers and partners.
Coordinating license renewals, amendments, and renegotiations across different functional areas.
Educating internal teams on rights management issues and support them in leveraging licensing relationships.
Collaborating with data governance and management efforts within the business.
Develop and Manage Network Partners:
Coordinating with key stakeholders to engage token network partners in alignment with the organization's strategy.
Driving strategic data partnerships to support ongoing product investment considerations.
Industry Expertise and Representation:
Representing the organization internally among various business units as well as externally to vendors and partners.
Maintaining a deep understanding of relevant industry data, including claims, provider data, and patient insights.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Have 10+ years of experience in healthcare data acquisition and content industry, including relationship management, business development, and contract negotiations.
Have expert business judgment and diplomacy in complex situations.
Have extensive experience in developing business relationships and financial modeling.
Have strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have strong interpersonal and business development capabilities.
Have ability to represent the organization at an executive level.
Have ability to quickly learn and articulate the organization's solution suite and capabilities.
