Job DescriptionBuilding off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team focuses on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. You should have experience with the design of major features and launching them into production. You’ve operated or supported high-scale services and understand how to make them more resilient. You work on most projects and tasks independently. You will take part in the disruption of the health care industry and will help deliver better patient care.You will be responsible for and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support our health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. You will also be responsible for completing the SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.Job Requirements:Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level.Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs and ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.Solid practical understanding of software development process; expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.Strong skills to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as to diagnose and resolve issues.Experience leading technical design discussions and ability to summarize complex trade-offs and options in presentation and technical documentation.Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership.Ability to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.Balancing work as a lead individual contributor with providing direction and mentoring to others.Minimum Qualifications:BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience6+ years of full-stack software development experienceWork with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular and BootstrapHands-on experience building and operating tools and dashboards with large data pipelinesExperience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers through the entire launch processExperience developing customer-focused architectures and restful web servicesWorking knowledge in Java or similar OO languagesExperience with at least one scripting language for automating tasks, proof of concept work, or command line toolsStrong system design fundamentals and distributed systems architecture standard processesExperience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environmentsAbility to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspectsExperience with Cloud Engineering Infrastructure DevelopmentPreferred Qualifications:MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.Experience in the healthcare industry and / or electronic medical records systemsHands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)Work with large volumes of data and loggingUnderstanding of key performance indicators and how to dig into themExperience and understanding of multi-AD/AZ and regional data centersBuilding continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedulesExperience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or featuresIC4 - Career LevelCareer Level - IC4ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for full-stack engineers with distributed systems experience. You can balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements. You’ve made life easier for other developers and have motivated your teams to make both process and service improvements with your ability to automate and instrument properly to get the right data. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
