The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations on assigned projects that include both new construction and renovation of existing buildings.Familiarity of the project including owner expectations, scope of work, material & equipment budget, and milestones. Knowledge of VOSHA/OSHA requirements and Bread Loaf Safety ProgramsAssure all inspections and tests are performed as required by code, project documents and Bread Loaf standards. Create project schedule to meet key dates as outlined by the Project Manager. Document all activities and events through daily reports. Maintain an As-Built set of drawings for project completion.Forecast labor and material need. Coordinate with Shop Supervisor for tool requirements and supplies. Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings and be an active member in Owner meetings. Provide on-the-job training opportunities to improve trade skills for field employees. This position will frequently require travel and possibly overnight stays.
