Role Summary:The Senior Operation Management Staff Manager will report to the Plant Leader and will be responsible for leading a team of 150 hourly employees and 10-12 salaried direct reports consisting of Flow Leaders, Product/Process Engineers, Quality Engineer and Product Analyst on 6 different product lines in a high volume/low mix production facility. This position will manage the business unit in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety in a lean environment.Essential Responsibilities:The Senior Operation Management Staff Manager will:

Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.

Give input to business programs of an encompassing part of a function or a business unit and to mid-term plan.

Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety.

Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.

Team management of salaried employees.

Develops research programs on the basis of a year.

Gives input to business programs of a encompassing part of a function or a business unit and to midterm plan.

Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Operation Management. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operation Management (including prior management/supervisory experience in an operation/production environment). Demonstrated experience applying Lean principles to drive improved cycle time, throughput and reduction.Desired Characteristics:

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

Established project management skills.
