About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use):13About the Role:The role will be located in the US Eastern Time Zone.The Team:ACV, Revenue & COS team within S&P Global Market Intelligence (“MI”) Finance is searching for a Finance Director to co-lead the MI Finance team responsible for Annualized Contract Value (“ACV”), Revenue and Cost of Sales (“COS”) reporting. The Director will manage all aspects of the revenue reporting and analysis, including day-to-day management of financial operations involving ACV, revenue and COS, month end and quarter end close, ensuring proper controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and running special projects. The team consists of employees located in United States, Philippines, and Malaysia; and interacts with other divisions and S&P Global Corporate.Responsibilities and Impact:This position will work to ensure all monthly financial reporting and analysis is delivered timely and accurately to facilitate decision making by the management. They will co-lead a transformation within MI Finance to rely more on technology to implement controls and efficiencies allowing the ACV, Revenue & COS team to spend more time analyzing results, understanding business drivers and sharing insights with Finance Business Partners.The role offers the opportunity to lead the reporting and analysis of ACV, revenue & COS data for the largest division of S&P Global. With direct involvement in financial close and forecasting there is a high level of visibility to senior leadership. In addition, this role will assist with the transformational enterprise-level special projects as we leverage existing technologies to improve processes.

Lead a workstream within MI ACV, Revenue & COS Team, contribute to both the short-term business management and long-term strategic direction.

Ensure proper controls are in place and respond to internal/external audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance (key point of contact).

Co-Lead monthly financial close explanations on Revenue and ensure proper controls and reconciliations are in place between ACV and Revenue.

Alert management to accounting and/or operational challenges and suggest actionable solutions, lead direct reports to do the same.

Assist with transformation of the team to further leverage existing technologies such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI to remove and reduce manual processes.

Support overall Division Finance reporting requirements; develop knowledge and understanding of the financial systems that are critical to the reporting process.

Prepare ad hoc analysis and assist in transformational enterprise-level special projects to provide direct support to the Senior Finance Director and Divisional CFO.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,761 to $194,565. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in quantitative field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math or related field).

10+ years’ relevant work experience in public or private accounting or finance department.

3+ years’ work experience leading a team within an accounting or finance department.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA/Chartered Accountant designation preferred.

Knowledge of subscription revenue and ACV is preferred.

Experience with ERP (Oracle), SmartView, SFDC/CPQ, Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI is preferred.

Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions for resolving operational and financial problems.

Demonstrate investigative research and analytical capabilities necessary to leadership team with accurate and insightful interpretation of financial information.

Strong attention to details and analytical ability with an inquisitive mind.

Ability to work independently and as a fully contributing member of a team.

Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
