This position partners closely with internal teams to define, launch, and troubleshoot email and SMS campaigns driving acquisition, conversion, retention, and engagement. This position is also responsible for the development and management protocols and tools to continually monitor, report, and analyze programs on a regular basis.Responsibilities:

Support integrated personalization technologies by driving use case development to improve member experience across different channels for B2C and B2B.

Assist and support the Marketing and HR Professional Solutions teams with the orchestration of email and SMS personalization campaigns and enable scalability.

Lead technical enablement of A/B testing, encourage testing and continuous improvement. Lead technical implementation of dynamic content to improve the relevance of existing campaigns and reduce overall email volume.

Maintain email marketing, SMS, and lead generation databases. Partner with IT and make sure integration points are working as designed. Upload missing data and/or partner with IT to set up new automated import processes. Work with external vendors as needed.

Build complex database queries against Boolean, string, date, and integer database fields using AND, OR, NOT, EQUALS, and date logic operators. Build relational database queries using one-to-many and many-to-many relationships.

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of marketing technology and platforms and its abilities relating to data and marketing automation.

Email:

Responsible for leading email transformation efforts across the organization to improve channel engagement and create a personalized member-centric experience.

Analyze the organization’s email channel and prepare quarterly summary reports on email engagement and lessons learned. Recommend and implement optimizations.

Maintain and audit inventory of outbound emails with frequency, product owner, target audience, category, and performance. Ensure campaigns are working as expected and troubleshoot any issues.

Coordinate stakeholder email requests of new email templates and fix formatting issues with design contractors. Assist with requirements gathering and user acceptance testing.

Receive and document requests for new bulk communication, determine the best channel, placement, and work with stakeholders on developing an execution plan. Execute campaigns within agreed upon service level agreement.

Identify email automation opportunities. Work with stakeholders to lead technical enablement of automation efforts, recommend other marketing channels as appropriate.

Enforce email brand standards to ensure that all emails conform to branding and style guides. Consult with internal stakeholders to correct any issues and bring them into compliance. Maintain email preference center and opt-out compliance. Maintain CAN-SPAM compliance.

Partner with Customer Care department to investigate customer and prospect record activity and provide tier 2 support regarding email marketing communication.

SMS:

Knowledge in SMS best practices, plan and execute campaigns, maintain a healthy and growing customer database, and segment audiences for personalized SMS marketing.

Track results of SMS campaigns, deliver performance metrics to stakeholders, and provide solutions for optimization.

Work with Marketing stakeholders to create documentation and set up of integrating and automating the SMS strategy in the current marketing technology stack.

Education & Experience Requirements

At least three (3) years of experience in marketing technologies and personalization space

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is required (extensive experience with similar responsibilities will be considered in lieu of college degree)

CRM experience with Salesforce

SMS experience (Adobe Vibes, Hustle, Community, Adobe Journey Optimizer)

Adobe Suite experience (Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer)

Certifications

Marketo certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong problem-solving skills

Conflict negotiation skills

Ability to troubleshoot HTML and CSS coding problems

Understating of basic programming concepts including variables, order of operations, logic operators, inner and outer database joins.

Proficient with email service providers including Marketo, HubSpot, etc.

Knowledge of email reputation monitoring

Knowledge of email regulations including CAN-SPAM and Canada’s Anti-Spam Law (CASL)

Proficient in SMS knowledge and best practices with a SMS platform including Adobe Vibes, Community, Hustle, Adobe Journey Optimizer, etc.
