Denver, CO: This position starts at $158,100-$213,800 annual base salary only. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Arlington, VA: This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. Our employees and the neighboring community will also benefit from the associated investments from the Commonwealth including infrastructure updates, public transportation improvements, and new access to Reagan National Airport.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, other related fields, or equivalent experience
-5+ years of software development experience on Java, Python, C, C
-3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
-3+ years experience managing and building software development teams
-Experience forming software development teams, recruiting software engineers and developing and growing careers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Advanced degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline
-10+ years of software development experience on Java, Python, C, C
-7+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
-5+ years experience managing and building software development teams
-Success delivering products/services in a high-growth environment, exhibiting strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous customer-focused problems
-Ability to take raw product requirements and create software architectures and designs to bring them to life.
-Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization
-Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and perceptions
-Experience with Analytics or Database technologies
-High attention to detail with proven ability to juggle multiple, conflicting priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
-Proven skills designing and developing simple solutions to complex problems
-Good understanding of platforms and technologies with at least one modern language such as Java, C, or C# including object-oriented design
-You have a track record of delivering technical programs, projects, and products in a highly technical multi-team environment
-Excellent written, spoken, and listening communication skills
