Description Job Description:Leidos is seeking an engineer to work as a Scrum Master and Software Engineer for an unmanned autonomous ship project. This engineer will be joining an existing team which has already successfully delivered for our customers. The successful candidate will focus on connecting with the team, and co-operating to help the team focus on making achievable commitments and meeting them together. Our other Scrum Masters will work closely with this new team member, and will collaborate to help coach the team together.As a Scrum Master, he or she will be responsible for coaching their team, helping the team follow the Scrum process, acting as the single point of contact for their team with management and the other Scrum teams on the project, in addition to helping the team refine the backlog continuously. The Scrum Master will also perform technical tasks as part of the integrated team, depending on interests, available time, and what their team needs, but will be primarily focused on their Scrum Master duties.This Scrum Master will be an integral part of our team, collaborating to work with us to make our unmanned vessels smarter. Their team of engineers will demonstrate their work regularly for customers and management, gaining exposure and constant feedback. The work done on this project will be demonstrated in the real world. Some periodic travel may be required within the continental US as part of attending meetings and assisting with testing our unmanned vessels.This project is technology heavy, and the ideal Scrum Master will come from a technical background, so that they can understand and communicate technical problems and help their team break big problems into smaller ones.Basic Qualifications
Familiarity with C development on Linux or Linux cybersecurity
Bachelor’s Degree
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
One year or more experience in an Agile Scrum development environment, including experience as a Scrum Master or supporting roles that are part of typical Scrum Master duties
Experience with one or more technology areas used on our program, for example, Python, Java, C, system and network administration, or cybersecurity
Exposure to unmanned systems, artificial intelligence
Certification as a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master
Active Secret Security Clearance preferred
Experience in software development projects
